Putin Goes On A Suicide Mission Near Odessa?

The Ukrainian Navy has assessed the probability of an enemy landing.

Russia wants to capture Odessa and break through to the border with Moldova and Romania. However, the Ukrainian Navy called the landing of the landing force suicide for the Russians.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the speaker of the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk on the air of the marathon "United News".

He said that the probability of landing a naval landing force on the Odessa coast is now extremely low. The Ukrainian Navy is in full control of the Black Sea, and any enemy ship that approaches the coast will be immediately destroyed.

"In principle, they cannot approach our coast closer than 100 nautical miles, because missileers from the Navy are waiting for them here. Therefore, accordingly, it is unlikely now," says Dmitry Pletenchuk.

In addition, he emphasized that a full-fledged landing operation requires a synchronized offensive from both sea and land. Without this, such an attempt will be doomed.

"Because such military activities, as a rule, are not an independent type of operation, given that this is the most complex type of naval operations, in principle. Therefore, to land an amphibious assault now is suicidal," Pletenchuk said.

Russia is also not yet able to reach Odessa by land. As Pletenchuk reminded, back in February 2022, the enemy already tried to realize such a scenario, but was defeated - mainly due to the lack of advancement by land.

In addition, for a land offensive on Odessa, the enemy will have to force at least three large water obstacles, which makes such an operation even more difficult and almost unrealistic under current conditions.

On June 11, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that the Russian Federation wants to take control of Odessa. After that, the enemy plans to reach the border with Romania and Moldova.

He emphasized that the Odessa region is "one of the main targets" of Russia to provoke chaos.
