Trump Banned From Using The National Guard To Stop Protests In L.A.

Federal troops will return to the governor's control at noon today.

A court has barred Trump from deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles. Federal troops will return to the governor's control at noon on Friday, June 13.

An Reuters and California Governor Gavin Newsom reported this on the X Network.

A U.S. judge has temporarily barred President Donald Trump from deploying National Guard troops to Los Angeles.

The judge said the protests in the city cannot be considered an uprising, as Trump has argued in justifying the deployment of troops to strengthen immigration enforcement.

A U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer of San Francisco issued an order that returns control of the National Guard to California Governor Gavin Newsom. He personally filed a lawsuit to restrict federal troops.

"The court just confirmed what we all know: the military belongs on the battlefield, not on the streets of our city," the California governor said.

The dispute over protests and troop deployments has been resolved

Justice Breyer said the protests in Los Angeles cannot be considered an "uprising."

Donald Trump thought otherwise and justified the troop deployment as just that.

Governor Newsom called on Trump to stop militarizing the city and called the president's actions a manifestation of authoritarianism.
