Приятно удивляют. Вызывают уважение.

Russia's lies have been obvious even to a simpleton like me for years.
I don't see that the American democracy is great and strong at all. A system that can so easily get a virtual dictator as president and a virtual dictator as speaker of the house of representatives has severe shortcomings.
I do not see any presidential system that is better than a parliamentary democracy. Too much power is vested in one person. With Trump, it is left to pick up the pieces after his edicts have had their effect. And just possibly the courts might reverse them months later. In a parliamentary democracy, parliament is sovereign and there is a cabinet of ministers led by the prime minister which has joint responsibilty for decisions that parliament must ratify. This before and not afterwards.
As an aside, I think that Ukraine has far too much government by decree.
