Russian rapper Timati, who supports Russia's invasion of Ukraine, has been informed in absentia by the SBU in absentia of suspicion.
It has become known that evidence has been gathered that the Putinist is one of the participants in Russian propaganda. The musician was Putin's proxy in the presidential elections in 2012, 2018 and 2024, participated in his inauguration and in events to celebrate his election victory.
Timati also supported the illegal annexation of Ukrainian Crimea and took part in many propaganda concerts on the peninsula.
"Based on the evidence collected by SBU investigators, Timur Yunusov has been notified of suspicion under part 2 of article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the order of entry to and exit from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine with the purpose of harming state interests, committed repeatedly). The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine," the SBU said.
