U.S. Helped Israel Repel An Iranian Drone Attack

At the same time, the American air force was not directly involved in the Israeli strike.

The United States assisted Israel in destroying drones that were launched by Iran in response to a massive Israeli strike, Yedioth Ahronoth reported, citing sources (translated by The Moscow Times.

The US was not directly involved in the Israeli attack, which involved 200 aircraft as well as strike drones secretly stationed in Iran, interlocutors in Israel's security services told the publication.

Accios reported that the White House unofficially gave Israel the green light for a series of strikes that damaged the Netenza nuclear plant and eliminated at least 20 IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) generals.

The Israeli strike came a day after the 60-day deadline that Donald Trump set for reaching an agreement on a nuclear deal with Iran expired. He had insisted on a complete ban on Iran from engaging in uranium enrichment. Tehran wanted to leave itself free to do so for peaceful purposes.

On Friday, Trump called the Israeli attack "superb" and urged Iran to strike a deal immediately to "preserve" what was left of the "Iranian Empire."
