One of the most guarded and strategically important components of Iran's nuclear program has been blown up.

Iranian media, citing the country's authorities, revealed the extent of damage caused by the Israeli strike on the Natanz facility.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has officially confirmed that a radioactive leak has been detected inside the Natanz nuclear facility. According to the agency's statement, there is no indication at this point that the radiation has gone beyond the complex, and therefore, as the authorities claim, there is no threat to the population and the environment.

The organization's representatives emphasize that localization and radiation cleanup work is currently underway within the facility. Only after these procedures are completed will it be possible to give a more accurate assessment of the extent of the damage, writes "Cursor".

The Natanz nuclear facility is one of the most protected and strategically important components of Iran's nuclear program. It has previously been the target of attacks, including cyber operations and bombings that Iran has blamed on Israel.
