Iran's Crown Prince Has Called For The Overthrow Of The Mullahs' Regime

Reza Pahlavi addressed the military.

Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah of Iran and founder and leader of the National Council of Iran, addressed the people and soldiers of his country. He accused the regime of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei of dragging Iran into a destructive war that has nothing to do with the will and interests of the Iranian people. This came against the backdrop of the start of the Israeli military operation "People Like a Lion," launched on the night of June 13. The operation resulted in the elimination of the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and other senior leaders of the Iranian regime, writes segodnya.co.il.

"This is not Iran's war and it is not the war of the Iranians. This is a war of Khamenei and the Islamic Republic," Pahlavi wrote in Farsi on social media on Friday, June 13. His statement came hours after reports of Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military installations. Pahlavi also labeled "Ali Khamenei, the reckless leader of the Islamic Republic's anti-Iranian regime" who has dragged the country back into war.

Pehlavi also addressed military, police and security personnel directly, calling on them to leave the ranks of the regime and join the popular movement for a change of power. He called the current moment "a battle between the nation and a destructive system."

Pehlevi said the Islamic Republic's leadership has neglected the lives of its citizens and Iran's future is only possible in freedom. He called for mass protests and a general strike.

"I stand with you. We are together in this struggle - and we will win," he added at the end of the address.
