NYT: IDF Attacked The Neighborhood Where Ayatollah Khamenei Resides

A U.S. publication confirmed the strike on the residence of Iran's supreme leader.

On the night of Saturday, June 14, Israel continued to attack strategic sites in Iran. Air defense systems were activated across the country. An explosion was heard in the area.

The HaAretz website quoted Al Jazeera TV channel as saying that air defense systems were activated in Isfahan, central Iran. A powerful explosion was heard in the area. Earlier, IDF spokesman Efi Defrin said the IDF had attacked a nuclear facility in Isfahan. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi told the UN Security Council (in the words of the Iranian spokesman) that "the facility was hit."

Isfahan is home to one of Iran's largest uranium enrichment factories. Explosions were also heard overnight in Tehran, in the neighborhood where the home of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is located, as well as the Iranian presidential complex. This was reported by the HaAretz website, citing The New York Times.
