But it depends on many factors.

Israel has not ruled out a scenario in which Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would be physically eliminated.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

An Israeli official said assassinating Khamenei "is not a taboo" for the Israeli state, as achieving the goal of destroying Tehran's nuclear program.

He said the war between the countries "will continue until Tehran gives up its nuclear program or Israel permanently prevents it from restarting it."

At the same time, Channel 12 political commentator Amit Segal also said roughly the same thing.

"Israel does not rule out the possibility of removing Ali Khamenei, but it depends on many factors," he said, citing an Israeli government source.
