On Saturday, June 14, President of the United States Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. According to the American leader, they talked, in particular, about the situation in the Middle East.
"President Putin called this morning to wish me a very nice birthday, but more importantly to talk about Iran, a country he knows very well. We talked for a long time. Much less time we talked about Russia/Ukraine, but that will be next week. He is engaged in a planned prisoner exchange - a large number of prisoners being exchanged immediately, on both sides," the White House chief wrote on Truth Social.
Trump added that his conversation with Putin lasted about an hour.
"He, like me, believes that this war in Israel and Iran should end, to which I explained that his war should also end," the American president summarized.
