Ukrainian Air Defense Forces Repelled An Enemy Missile And Drone Barrage

The night of June 15 was a real test for Ukraine's air defense system. The enemy fired 194 means of air attack on the territory of the country - from attack drones to hypersonic missiles. The main target was the Poltava region, in particular Kremenchug.
The details were revealed in the morning by the press service of the AFU Air Force.
The attack began around 20:00 and lasted all night. In the skies over Ukraine were recorded:
- 183 Shahed attack and imitation drones of different types launched from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Bryansk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation);
- 2 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles launched from the territory of the Astrakhan region;
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from the Kursk region;
- 4 Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Rostov region;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles fired from the Black Sea.
Ukrainian air defense acted in all directions: aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups worked.
The results are impressive: 167 out of 194 enemy targets were successfully destroyed. 119 targets were shot down by air defense. Another 48 were suppressed by REB or locationally lost. 111 Shahed attack drones and other UAVs, 2 Kinzhal missiles, 3 Iskander-K cruise missiles and 3 Kalibr missiles were neutralized.
Despite the high level of interception, direct hits were recorded in Kremenchug, as well as falling debris in six locations.
The enemy used all kinds of weapons at once - from "cheap" drones to the most expensive hypersonic carriers.
