Reuters: Trump Vetoed Israel's Plan To Eliminate Ayatollah Khamenei

U.S. President Donald Trump has "vetoed" Israel's plan to assassinate Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Reuters reported, citing two U.S. officials.

"Have the Iranians killed an American yet? No. Until they do, we're not even talking about going after the political leadership," one of the sources said.

Trump said he could "easily" end the Israel-Iran conflict. The US president also warned Iran against striking US targets.

The WSJ newspaper previously wrote that Khamenei was not ruled out as a potential target for Israeli strikes. An unnamed Israeli official told the publication. According to him, Israel allows strikes on any potential targets if it helps destroy Iran's nuclear program.
