In the U.S. state of Minnesota arrested a likely shooter at Democratic politicians. About it writes CNN on June 16.
The detainee's name is Venu Beutler. He is suspected in the murder of state House Democratic leader Melissa Gortman and her husband, as well as the attempted assassination of Minnesota Senator John Hoffman and his wife.
American police called the search for Beutler "the largest manhunt in the history" of the state, which lasted nearly two days. Hundreds of detectives from 20 different special operations units were involved in the operation.
Law enforcers first found the suspect's car and cameras recorded him fleeing into the woods. Police used night vision devices, helicopters and drones, the TV station said. CNN writes, citing police, that the shooter likely acted alone, but details will be revealed by the investigation.
