Ukrainian And Russian Delegations Start Meeting In Istanbul

The talks are being mediated by the Turkish side.

The second meeting of delegations of Ukraine and the aggressor country Russia began in Istanbul on Monday, June 2, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

The Ukrainian delegation is headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, while the Russian delegation is headed by Putin's aide Vladimir Medinsky. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also attends the meeting. The talks are being held with the mediation of the Turkish side, the report said.

The sides prepared their vision of a possible ceasefire and further negotiations before the meeting.
