The attack by 60 Israeli fighter jets ended in success.
The IDF carried out a series of strikes in the heart of Tehran on the night of June 20: dozens of targets were hit, including missile production facilities and the headquarters of the SPND, which develops and researches Iran's nuclear program. This is reported by the Israel Defense Forces.
More than 60 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, acting on accurate intelligence, struck dozens of military targets inside Iran, firing some 120 munitions.
Overnight, several industrial facilities used for the production of missiles were hit in the Tehran area. These facilities had been established over many years and served as an important industrial center for Iran's Ministry of Defense.
The targets included facilities that produced missile components as well as facilities that produced raw materials for casting rocket engines.
"As part of ongoing efforts to undermine Iran's nuclear program, the IDF struck the SPND headquarters in Tehran. The entity develops and researches advanced technologies and weapons that support the Iranian regime's military capabilities. The headquarters was founded in 2011 by Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the creator of Iran's nuclear program," the IDF said in a press release.
In addition, a facility producing a key component of Iran's nuclear weapons program was struck.
At the same time, four drones launched from Iranian territory were intercepted overnight by the Israeli Air Force's air defense forces.
