The Consequences Of Israel's Strike On The Arak Nuclear Reactor Have Become Known

The IAEA revealed the details.

The IAEA has updated information on yesterday's Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear facility at Khondab (formerly Arak). It said that its key buildings were still damaged.

The International Atomic Energy Agency reported this.

It noted that several important facilities were damaged, notably a distillation plant.

This was an update to an earlier report from Thursday, which said only that a research reactor was hit without identifying radiological effects.

"Although the damage to the Khondab heavy water plant was not noticeable at first, the Agency later assessed that key buildings at the site, including the distillation unit, had been damaged," the report said.

Recall June 19, the IAEA reported damage to the heavy water research reactor. The agency said it was under construction, so it was not yet operating. The reactor contained no nuclear material, and there were no radiological consequences as a result of the damage.
