Israel's Chief Of General Staff Urged To Prepare "for A Long War" With Iran

Israel has launched "the most complex military campaign" in its history.

Israel has launched "the most complex military campaign" in its history and must therefore be prepared for a "protracted war," Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir declared. He also noted that the IDF "cannot stand idle in the face of evolving threats."

"We have embarked on the most difficult campaign in our history, to eliminate a threat of such magnitude, against such an enemy, that we must be prepared for a long campaign," Zamir said in an address to the Israeli military.

He noted that the campaign against Iran "is not over yet": "Hard days await us." Israel's Chief of General Staff emphasized that the country is fighting "a war on many fronts," implying that the conflict in Gaza is not over either.

"We must be proactive in order to eliminate the existential threat," Zamir emphasized.
