Ukraine's Foreign Minister Puts Putin In His Place
Andrei Sibiga

"One million soldiers. Two million legs."

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga commented on Vladimir Putin's statements about the Russian army's actions in the war, particularly his words about "the foot of a Russian soldier".

- While the U.S. and the rest of the world call for an immediate halt to the killings, Russia's chief war criminal is discussing plans to seize more Ukrainian territories and kill more Ukrainians," Sibiga wrote in X.

He called Putin's statements cynical and "insane," singling out among them the phrase "about the foot of the Russian soldier":

- In reality, wherever a Russian soldier sets foot, he brings with him only death, destruction and devastation. Putin doesn't care about Russian soldiers and their legs ripped off by Ukrainian drones. He is a mass murderer of his own people. He has already wiped out one million Russian soldiers in a senseless bloodbath in Ukraine without accomplishing a single strategic goal. One million soldiers. Two million legs," the Ukrainian foreign minister added.

He said Putin's statements "serve only one purpose: to divert public attention from the utter failure of his quarter-century rule," and that the only way to force Russia to make peace is to "strip it of its sense of impunity."

- Increase support for Ukraine's defense and hit the Russian economy hard with crippling sanctions. Declare Russia a terrorist state. Completely isolate it. Bring Moscow to its senses," Sibiga emphasized.

While speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that "wherever a Russian soldier's foot treads, it is ours.
