The Pakistani government has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize "in recognition of his decisive diplomatic intervention" in the India-Pakistan conflict.

The Pakistani government reported.

"At a time of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and outstanding statesmanship through active diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi, leading to de-escalation of the rapidly deteriorating situation," the Pakistani government said in a statement.

The publication also said Donald Trump's actions were "a testament to his role as a true peacemaker." The Pakistani government also noted the US president's "key leadership" in resolving the conflict in the Kashmir region.

Pakistan remains hopeful that his sincere efforts will continue to contribute to regional and global stability, especially in the context of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, including the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza and the escalating escalation involving Iran.
