Iran Attacked Israel In Retaliation For The Overnight U.S. Strike

Tehran has launched about 40 missiles.

Iran launched rockets toward Israel this morning, June 22, in response to an overnight attack by the United States and the IDF.

The Israel Defense Forces Press Office reported.

"Some time ago, the Israel Defense Forces detected the launch of rockets from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel. Defense systems are working to intercept the threat," the Israeli military said.

The IDF warned the public to go to a bomb shelter after receiving the alert and remain there until further notice.

"Leave the protected space only after receiving clear instructions. Continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Service," the IDF concluded.

It is reported that 40 rockets were fired toward Israel.

It is noteworthy that the rocket alert went off in many areas of Israel, including the center.

The firing came amid threats from Iran. Tehran earlier threatened "long-term consequences" over the attacks by Israel and the US.

"The Israeli Air Force is currently operating to intercept and strike where necessary to eliminate the threat. The defense is not airtight, so it is necessary to continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Service," the Israeli military added.
