Medvedev Threw A Tantrum After US Strike On Iran
Dmitry Medvedev

The deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council accused Trump of "starting a new war" and said Iran may be handing over nuclear weapons.

U.S. President Donald Trump has "dragged the United States into a new conflict with the prospect of a ground operation" by ordering strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitri Medvedev said, The Moscow Times reports.

"Trump, who came as a peacemaker president, has started a new war," he wrote in his Telegram channel. According to Medvedev, "the absolute majority of countries in the world are against the actions of Israel and the United States."

Medvedev also claimed that some states are "ready to directly supply Iran with their nuclear warheads." However, he did not specify whether Russia, which is a "strategic partner" of the Islamic republic, was among them.

The United States joined Israel in destroying Iran's nuclear facilities on the night of June 22, striking three key plants - in Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow - including using anti-bunker bombs. Trump declared the operation a success.
