The country's foreign minister has announced a visit to Moscow.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced a visit to Moscow amid news of a U.S. attack on the country's nuclear facilities.

Tehran's top diplomat said this at a press conference on Sunday, June 22, writes The New York Times.

Araghchi said he will soon travel to Russia. The Iranian foreign minister will meet with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin tomorrow, June 23.

"Russia is a friend of Iran and we have a strategic partnership and we always consult each other and coordinate our positions," he said.

On the night of June 22, the United States attacked Iran's nuclear facilities, including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. A full bomb stockpile was dropped on the main site, Fordo.
