There were 125 airplanes involved in the attack.
The US military operation against Iran codenamed "Midnight Hammer" was realized with the participation of more than 125 aircraft, including 7 B2 stealth bombers.
This was announced on Sunday by General Dan Kane, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, whose words are quoted by CNN.
Kane said a total of more than 125 aircraft were involved in the operation, including B2 bombers, refueling planes, reconnaissance aircraft and fighter jets.
The bombers dropped more than a dozen 30-ton Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs on two Iranian nuclear sites, Fordow and Natanz, and Tomahawk missiles were launched at Isfahan.
Kane said the mission, which launched from a base in Missouri, was the longest mission by B2 bombers since the Sept. 11 attacks.
Kane also said dozens of Tomahawk missiles were fired from the submarine as part of the operation against targets in Iran.
"At midnight Friday through Saturday, a large strike force of B2 bombers launched from the continental United States," Kane said.
"As part of a plan to maintain tactical surprise, part of the group continued westward into the Pacific as a decoy - a misleading operation that only a very limited number of planners and key leaders here in Washington and in Tampa knew about," he added.
The main strike group, consisting of seven B2 Spirit bombers, each with two crew members, quietly continued eastward, making minimal use of communications.
After carrying out the bomb launches, the planes began their return home - Iran did not open fire during either the entry or exit of the U.S. aircraft.
