Lexus Will Launch A Stylish Electrified Sports Car

The car will be assembled on the basis of the iconic Toyota.

Lexus will have a new sports coupe in its lineup. The two-seat model will be a premium sibling of the new Toyota Supra.

The new Lexus sports car should appear in 2027 or 2028 and it is possible that it will be called SC. This became known to the Japanese publication Best Car.

The sports coupe will be a production version of the Lexus Electrified Sport concept of 2021. The prototype features a sleek, streamlined design with flowing shapes, a long hood and a curved roof line.

The name Lexus SC was chosen for a reason. Like the 90s model of the same name, the sports car will be based on the Toyota Supra. As you know, the new generation of Supra is currently being developed, and the model will no longer use the BMW Z4 platform, but will receive a new rear-wheel-drive Toyota architecture.

It is expected that the Toyota Supra coupe and Lexus SC will receive electrified powertrains. One of them will consist of a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo four with improved thermal efficiency and an electric motor. The total output will exceed 400 hp.
