Israel Has Eliminated Another Key Iranian Nuclear Scientist

As a result of the latest strikes on northern Tehran.

Recent strikes in northern Tehran have killed Mohammad Reza Seddighi Saber, a high-ranking scientist. According to Iranian media, he was involved in Iran's nuclear program, CNN reported.

Saber worked on explosive device projects at Iran's SPND, a defense research organization.

The U.S. had previously imposed sanctions on him because of his role in Iran's nuclear weapons program.

This is not the first targeted elimination of scientists. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, Israeli strikes have killed at least 10 key Iranian specialists in the past 12 days, including Fereydoun Abbasi, the former head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, and Amir Hossein Fekhi, his former deputy.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu confirmed the elimination of another Iranian scientist, but did not name him.

The statement said that over the past 24 hours the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) "struck key regime targets in central Tehran, killed hundreds of Basij militants and eliminated a high-ranking nuclear scientist."
