Ukraine Destroyed Four Russian Su-34s

The AFU launched a precision strike on the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region.

The Security Service of Ukraine and the AFU Special Operations Forces destroyed two Russian SU-34 bombers at the Marinovka airfield in Volgograd Region, and damaged two more.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Security Service of Ukraine and the AFU General Staff.

The AFU SSO and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a joint special operation, as a result of which they destroyed two Russian SU-34 fighter-bombers at the Marinovka airfield and damaged two more.

The enemy actively uses these multi-role fighters on the front line for bombing raids, including the dropping of KABs.

According to the SBU, the Russian fighters were targeted by long-range drones. The attack also started a fire in the technical and operational part of the enemy airfield, which is a critical infrastructure of the military facility.

It should be noted that it is there that the enemy prepares aircraft for flights, performs their routine maintenance and repair work.

What the General Staff said

According to the General Staff, on the night of June 27, units of the AFU Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, hit the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation.

The AFU hit a Russian airfield: two Su-34s destroyed, two more damaged

Preliminary information shows that four units of enemy aircraft, namely Su-34s, were hit, as well as the technical and operational part - a place where various combat aircraft are serviced and repaired.

- In the Russian Aerospace Forces, they are classified as front-line fighter-bombers. They are used, in particular, to drop guided bombs, including those with planning and correction modules (PCMs)," the General Staff wrote.

What the Special Operations Forces say

The military said it had destroyed a link of Su-34 frontline fighter-bombers at the Marinovka airfield in Russia's Volgograd region.

- According to preliminary information, four units of the enemy's aviation equipment, namely Su-34 aircraft, and a technical-operational unit - a place where maintenance and repair of various combat aircraft takes place - were destroyed," the military said.
