The US president accused the Iranian head of ingratitude.
The US president read the Iranian leader's statements about "defeating Israel and the US" and decided to punish him. Donald Trump accused Ali Khamenei of ingratitude and said he changed his mind about lifting sanctions on Iran. And he also promised to bomb Iran's nuclear facilities "without question" if they try to rebuild them, "Details" wrote.
"Why would the so-called 'Supreme Leader' of the war-torn country of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, so brazenly and foolishly claim that he won the war with Israel when he knows his claim is a lie, it is not true? - Trump took umbrage on Truth Social media. - I saved him from a very ugly and shameful death."
The US president said he knew exactly where Ayatollah Khamenei was hiding. And that he did not allow it to be bombed. Israel has previously confirmed that it was going to eliminate the Iranian leader, but simply "did not have the operational capability."
Khamenei was in hiding throughout the war. And even the decision on the truce was apparently taken without his participation. But on June 26, he decided to congratulate Iran "on its victory over the lying Zionist regime." All of this angered Trump.
"Over the past few days, I've been working on a possible lifting of sanctions and other things that would give Iran a much better chance of a full, quick and unconditional recovery. But no, instead I was bombarded with statements full of anger, hatred and disgust, and I immediately stopped all work on easing sanctions," the US president wrote.
Earlier at a White House briefing, Trump promised that he would not let Iran restore uranium enrichment. In this case, he will "without question" give a new bombing order, ABC News reported.
