Andrzej Duda Came To Kyiv With A Farewell Visit

The Polish president arrived on a symbolic date.

Polish President Anjay Duda arrived in Kiev on Ukraine's Constitution Day, June 28. This is his farewell visit.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga in X (Twitter).

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister met Duda at the Central Railway Station in Kiev on the morning of June 28.

"President Duda stood by Ukraine during the most difficult times of full-scale Russian aggression. We are grateful to him and to all Poles who showed real solidarity with Ukraine," Sibiga said.

Andrzej Duda arrived in Ukraine on the symbolic date - Constitution Day. He will meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

It is worth noting that this is most likely Andrzej Duda's farewell visit to Ukraine. In August, he will leave the post of the Polish president.

In early June, Volodymyr Zelensky invited Andrzej Duda to Ukraine before the end of his term. The latter confirmed that he would come for a farewell visit.

Andrzej Duda has served as president of Poland since 2015. He was president for two consecutive terms. Duda's successor as president of Poland will be Karol Nawrocki. He is due to take office on August 6.
