Fitzo Invented A Strange Reason Not To Go To Ukraine
Robert Fitzo

At the same time, the Slovak prime minister unexpectedly supported Ukraine's accession to the EU.

Slovakia's pro-Russian Prime Minister Robert Fitzo has found an excuse for why he refuses to visit Ukraine. He blamed Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, saying that the latter, allegedly, "hates" him.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Slovak edition of Aktuality.

- My meeting with President Zelensky makes no sense because he hates me. I don't see any reason to meet with the Ukrainian president," the Slovak prime minister said.

Fizo added that he prefers to meet with his Ukrainian counterpart, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal. As for Ukraine's interest in the visit of Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, Fitzo added that it would actually be a symbolic visit - in Slovakia, the president has no opportunity to conclude any agreements.

The Slovak prime minister unexpectedly supported Ukraine's accession to the European Union. In his opinion, this is a way out of the current "difficult situation" for Ukraine.

- Ukraine's membership in the EU brings Slovakia more advantages than disadvantages," he added.
