'Absurd And Destructive': Musk Trashed Trump's Tax Plan In The Senate

The billionaire said the passage of the package would be very damaging to the U.S. economy.

American billionaire Ilon Musk sharply criticized the tax plan of US President Donald Trump. He noted that the adoption of this package will greatly harm the US economy.

According to The Guardian.

Ilon Musk strongly opposed the new draft of Donald Trump's sweeping tax and spending bill, which is now being debated in the Senate.

The proposed changes he called "absurd," "devastating" and "completely insane."

The billionaire said its passage would "destroy millions of U.S. jobs and do enormous strategic damage to the country" and promote "industries of the past" while harming promising areas of innovation.

More importantly, during the Senate debate, Musk said the bill would be "political suicide for the Republican Party."

This is not the first criticism from Musk: previously, he called the version of the bill that passed the House of Representatives a "disgusting disgrace." This stance caused an open conflict between the businessman and the former president.
