There was an explosion at the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant (ZMZ) in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region. A strong fire started on the territory of the facility, at least one person was injured.
About it reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to Russian Telegram channels.
According to SHOT, at about 23:00 (Kiev time), there was a strong explosion on the side of the ZMZ and "the glow of fire was visible".
Presumably, a truck with a tanker exploded on the territory of the plant. After that, the flames spread to the production shop. The area of the fire, preliminary, is 75 square meters. There is also information about the injured.
"As a result of the accident, one worker was injured. He has 10% burns on his body. Emergency services are working at the scene. The exact causes are still unknown," the Telegram channel writes.
Later the channel Mash clarified that the victim was a worker of the plant - 34-year-old Alexei. He received 10% burns. The publication that he was taken away by medics and now he is in the emergency room.
Mash also specified that the fire at the factory covered the roof of the shop where bearings are produced.
It should be noted that the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant is a Russian factory that produces automotive gasoline and diesel engines.

"Locals told SHOT that a truck burst into flames right in the chemical shop at the ZMZ. The flames then quickly spread to the roof of the shop," the new publication said.
SHOT added, EMERCOM officials have allegedly already extinguished the 60-square-foot fire.
