Trump Congratulated Poland's President-elect And Called Him His Ally

The US President praised the results of the elections in Poland.
US President Donald Trump has congratulated Poland's newly elected president Karol Nawrocki on his victory and called him his ally.

"Trump's ally wins in Poland, shocking all of Europe. Congratulations, Poland, you have chosen a winner," the US president wrote.
Karol Nawrocki visited Washington, DC, in early May, where he met with US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio while attending the US National Day of Prayer celebration.
On June 2, Poland held a runoff presidential election. After 100 percent of the votes were counted, Karol Nawrocki, the candidate of the Law and Justice party, won the election. According to the State Election Commission, he won 50.89 percent of voter support, or 10,606,628 votes.
His rival in the second round, Civic Platform representative Rafal Trzaskowski, won 49.11 percent, or 10,237,177 votes. The election commission said the difference between the candidates was less than two percent, or about 370,000 votes.
