The Ukrainian delegation, which is headed by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko, has arrived in Washington. This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, who is also a member of the delegation, UNIAN.
He noted that there are also representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the President.
"We will talk about the results of the meetings in Istanbul, as well as how Russia is dragging out the time with the ceasefire and negotiations for the sake of war," the head of the President's Office said.
He said the members of the delegation to the United States will "promote" issues important for Ukraine.
"Our agenda is quite comprehensive. We plan to talk about defense support and the situation on the battlefield, strengthening sanctions against Russia, in particular Senator Graham's bill (we are talking about Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who proposes the introduction of a 500 percent duty on imports from countries that buy Russian energy - UNIAN). We will also discuss the Agreement on the creation of the Investment Fund for Recovery, which was signed earlier," Yermak said.
According to him, it is expected to discuss the return of deported Ukrainian children by Russia and the US support for this process. They will also discuss "the Russians' propaganda related to church issues."
Yermak said that quite a few meetings with representatives of both parties that support Ukraine, the team of U.S. President Donald Trump are envisioned.
