Trump Threatens Iran

The US president said that "things are going to get worse for Tehran".

US President Donald Trump said he had recently worked on lifting sanctions on Tehran, but abandoned the task after statements by Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"Over the past few days I have been working on possibly lifting sanctions and other things that would give Iran a better chance for a full and speedy recovery... Instead I saw a display of anger, hatred and disgust and I immediately stopped working on sanctions relief and the rest," Trump wrote on the Truth Social network.

"Iran must return to the international order or things will get worse for them," the president added.
