The Russians are discarded.
The Ukrainian army continues not only to contain Russian troops in the north, but also to regain control over the captured territory. In Sumy region, the village of Andreevka has been liberated - the front line has been stabilized.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting active operations in recent weeks in the North Slobozhansky direction and near Kursk region. According to official data, thanks to these operations they managed to:
- liberate the settlement of Andreevka;
- advance in the area of Alekseevka, pushing Russian units further away from Sumy;
- stabilize the contact line at the boundary of Yunakovka - Yablunovka - Novonikolayevka - Alekseevka - Kondratovka - the Russian border - bridgeheads in Kursk region.

The enemy is throwing its best forces
Russia, in order to hold its positions, has pulled together about 50,000 troops on this section of the front, including marines, airborne assault units and the most capable motorized rifle units. Aviation, long-range artillery and attack drones are also actively used. Despite this, the AFU is inflicting serious losses on the occupants: in June alone, the enemy lost about 9,310 people, of whom more than 4,470 were irrecoverable. Another 42 occupants surrendered.
What it means
The liberation of Andreevka and stabilization of the front line is an important success for Ukraine, showing that despite massive attacks, the Russian army is unable to turn the situation in its favor. These achievements of the AFU demonstrate that the offensive potential of the occupants is gradually depleting, while the Ukrainian defenders are consistently regaining the captured territories and holding the strategic initiative.
Systemic strikes on the Russian rear
Ukrainian artillery and drones hit targets up to 100 kilometers deep, including on Russian territory. In June, they destroyed: 16 command posts, 3 ammunition depots, 3 drone storage bases, a logistics base and an oil depot, more than 420 pieces of equipment, including tanks, armored vehicles and artillery. Since the beginning of the Kursk operation in August 2024, the total enemy losses in this direction reached more than 75,800 people, including more than a thousand prisoners.
