A criminal case for "threatening to use violence against police officers" was initiated against a 52-year-old resident of Polotsk, reported the Interior Ministry.

According to the agency, the operatives tried to detain a drunken man "for an administrative offense". The man offered "active resistance," "grabbed at his uniform, tried to strike and threw a signal cone in their direction." These actions were recorded on the video, published by law enforcement officials.

Investigators opened a criminal case against the resident of Polotsk for threatening to use violence against police officers. He faces up to seven years of imprisonment.
