The resources of the Tupolev design bureau were hacked.
Cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out an attack on the resources of the Tupolev Design Bureau, Russia's leading aircraft manufacturing company, and gained access to critical data of the Russian strategic aircraft manufacturer.
Sources NV in the intelligence services reported this.
A source in the intelligence service said that as a result of the cyber attack they managed to obtain extremely important information of a strategic level In particular, we are talking about:
service correspondence of the company's management;
personal data of the personnel of the design bureau;
residential addresses;
resumes of engineers and designers; official data on purchases;
protocols of closed meetings and the like.
According to an intelligence interlocutor, the Defense Ministry's GUR cyber corps had been controlling the Tupolev Design Bureau's document flow for a long time, and was eventually able to gain access to more than 4.4 GB of critical design bureau data.
In addition, Ukrainian cyber specialists hacked the official online resource of Tupolev, on which the main published an image of an owl holding a Russian airplane in its talons.
"The significance of the obtained data can hardly be overestimated. Now there is virtually nothing left secret in the activities of the Tupolev Design Bureau for Ukrainian intelligence, in particular, we have obtained exhaustive information about the persons who are directly involved in the maintenance of Russian strategic aircraft. The result will clearly be noticeable both on the ground and in the sky", - commented the results of the operation the interlocutor in the intelligence service.
Since 2022 KB Tupolev - the manufacturer of Russian strategic aircraft - is under international sanctions as a company directly involved in the implementation of large-scale aggression of Russia against Ukraine.
