The Russian aircraft had Kh-101 missiles on external hangers.
The Russian Army's Tu-95MS strategic bombers were already equipped with Kh-101 cruise missiles before they were destroyed at their home airfields, probably to strike Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the video from the cameras of Ukrainian kamikaze drones, which was released by the SBU.

According to the frames of the video, at least part of the bombers had Kh-101 missiles on external hangers.

The full tanks of the planes, the fuel from which has caused large fires at airfields attacked by attack drones, are also indicative of the Russians' likely preparation of strategic aviation for combat sorties.
Reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine on Sunday, June 1, attacked several Russian airfields where the enemy's strategic aviation was based.
The drone strikes hit 41 Russian strategic aircraft, including the A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160.
