The list of dangerous products, banned for sale in Belarus, includes 30 items of clothing of the Polish brand Big Star, writes the edition "Belarusians and the market".
This is one of the oldest Western fashion companies operating in the Belarusian market. It belongs to Polish millionaire from the local Forbes list Bogdan Kaczmarek and his partner Wieslaw Kostera.
The ban came into force on June 5 for the reason that the specified clothing does not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union on the safety of light industry products.
In jackets, dresses and shirts were found to have an insufficient index of breathability, and women's shoes had insufficiently firmly glued soles. There are also claims for some children's clothing.
