The exchange of dead bodies between Ukraine and Russia has been postponed, while the date has not yet been set. This was reported by the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in a commentary to BBC on Saturday, June 7.

The agency noted that "statements by representatives of the aggressor state about the alleged start of the return of bodies or repatriation activities after the agreements in Istanbul do not correspond to reality."

The Ukrainian side added that preparations are now underway for the exchange of the seriously ill and seriously wounded, young people, as well as the return of the bodies of dead servicemen, the BBC added.

"Any unilateral statements or actions by representatives of the aggressor state are yet another manipulation around the sensitive and important issue of returning the bodies of our defenders," the Coordstab representative said.
