Trump And Musk Spat: Allies Are Being Forced To Choose Sides

The administration of US President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Ilon Musk following a public conflict. Their allies are being asked to decide which side they take.

It is reported by Rolling Stone.

"We're taking away Ilon's friends. If he wants them back, he'll have to kiss Donald Trump's ass harder than he's ever kissed anyone's ass in his entire life. Even then, there's no guarantee he'll come back from this situation," a senior Trump administration official said.

Another source said on Thursday that White House staffers under Trump have already started calling and texting high-ranking allies (major donors in the party and so on) of both the US president and Musk, demanding that they pick sides in this conflict. They also added that it would probably be the easiest choice the allies would ever make

Another Trump team official notes that since everything spilled out into the public eye, members of Trump's government and "his holy of holies" have been inundated with messages from outside allies and associates in business, the media, and the political elite. The messages emphasized their loyalty to the 45th and 47th president of the United States.

According to this official, the influx of loyalty has become so intense that some messages, include the lines: "In case the president didn't see my message..." and "Ilon is dead to us."

The publication writes that it's still unclear how many important "friends" Musk will be able to keep in the near and long term. However, things are not going too well for him so far.
