Airports Near Moscow Closed Due To Drone Attacks

The restrictions affected the airports "Vnukovo", "Domodedovo" and "Kaluga".

The Russian Defense Ministry said it had repelled a drone attack over Russian regions. During the night, airports near Moscow were closed for takeoff and departure.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian state-run TASS news agency.

Rosaviatsiya said the restrictions were imposed at Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Kaluga airports. Only in the morning, around 7 o'clock, the restrictions on the operation of these airports were lifted.

The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that air defense forces allegedly shot down 61 drones. The Russian ministry was silent on how many drones there were in total and how many of them reached their targets.

Reminder, overnight drones attacked Russia's Tula region. Explosions erupted in Novomoskovsk, followed by a fire at the Azot chemical plant.
