According to the energy workers of Minsk voblast, Pukhovichi, Slutsk, Molodechno and Myadel districts of Minsk voblast suffered the most from the consequences of a powerful thunderstorm front last night. In total, electricity has been cut off in 112 settlements in the region since midnight, most often due to fallen branches and trees on the wires. By 9:00, 48 settlements remained without light.
The agency said that the staff of the whole region had been mobilized to eliminate the consequences of bad weather, sending additional teams from neighboring districts to the most affected areas. 4 mobile diesel power plants are involved.
The impressive footage of thunderstorms and bright flashes of lightning, which last night could be observed in many districts of Minsk region, was shared by TikTok users.

In the meantime, forecasters warned that the tail of the cyclone's cold front, which caused increased thunderstorm activity in Minsk region tonight, has not yet exhausted its energy, so residents of the eastern parts of the country - Mogilev and Gomel regions - can expect intense showers with thunderstorms, in some places with hail and squally wind gusts in the second half of the day. At the same time, the heat in these regions will not subside yet: the air, according to forecasters, will warm up to +23...+26 ° C.
And closer to night, a new batch of thunderstorms and showers, according to the calculations of experts of the specialized Telegram channel about the weather @nadvorie, will bring a system of fronts of other cyclones, coming to the territory of our country from the south-west. As a result, the center and north of Belarus, that is, Minsk and Vitebshchina, will be under the "blow" of the storm front.
"The storm system will continue to move eastward during the night and leave the territory of Belarus by morning. And this time it will be the last such system," predicted the authors of the channel.
After that, according to them, a new anticyclone will come to Europe, the center of which will be located over France. He, according to experts, "finally displacing the tropical air", and cooler air mass will begin to arrive in our region.
