The meeting of the "Coalition of the resolute", designed to guarantee a long-term ceasefire in Ukraine, on Thursday was attended for the first time by representatives of the United States.

This follows from the British government's message following the meeting, writes "European Pravda".

It is noted that the "Coalition of the Resolute" meeting on Thursday was attended by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, who were at the British headquarters in Northwood.

And Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and other leaders joined the meeting online from Rome, where the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference is being held.

- For the first time, representatives of the United States joined the meeting, notably the President's special envoy General Keith Kellogg, Senator Lindy Graham and Senator Richard Blumenthal," the report said.

The UK government also estimated that this was the sixth meeting of the "Coalition of the Resolute" at the leaders' level.

The "Coalition of the Resolute," led by France and the UK, said in February its aim was to provide security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire, in particular by deploying a "guarantee force."
