Zelensky: Two Countries Ready To Pay For Three Patriot Systems For Ukraine

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that Germany is ready to pay for two Patriot systems for Ukraine. There are also agreements with Norway to fund one system, writes New Voice.

"With the president [of the United States Donald Trump] we have a positive dialog on Patriot systems. My request is regarding 10 systems and, accordingly, missiles to these systems. Germany is ready to pay, there are already agreements on two systems," Zelensky said on Thursday, July 10, at a briefing in Rome following a meeting of a "coalition of the willing".

He said other partners will join the financing when Ukraine receives a clear answer from the manufacturer and an assessment of capabilities from the United States regarding delivery dates.

"We understand the cost of the systems. However, this is the current financing scheme for US air defense systems. By the way, the package is much bigger than these systems," the president emphasized.
