Asked that questions be addressed to the White House.
The words of Donald Trump that he promised Vladimir Putin to "bomb Moscow" during his first presidential term have prompted a comment from Dmitri Peskov. The journalist asked Vladimir Putin's press secretary whether the above statement was made, if so, when and how the Kremlin treats such information leaks. This is reported by Dialog.UA.
The Kremlin spokesman called the question incorrect, recalling that Donald Trump made his statement in 2024 at a meeting with the party's "donors" in the United States. "I work in Russia, thank God," the diplomat tried to dissociate himself from the dialog.
Peskov noted that there are many fakes in the information space now and the Kremlin cannot confirm or deny Trump's words. The journalist did not back down and asked again about whether Trump had expressed his threats to Putin.
"There were no phone conversations at that time. As far as I understand, we are talking about the period when Trump was not yet the US president," the Kremlin speaker said. Dmitry Peskov was wrong about the latter, because the conversation with "donors" really took place in 2024, at which time Trump was talking about the promises he made to Vladimir Putin during his first presidential term (2017-2021).
"I recommend addressing your questions to the White House," the diplomat summarized.
