Trump Announced 30% Duties Against The EU And Mexico

US President Donald Trump said that he imposed 30% duties on imports from the European Union and Mexico.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to his post on the social network Truth Social.

According to the US president, starting August 1, goods that are imported from the EU and Mexico to America - will be subject to a 30% duty.

In particular, in a letter to the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, he wrote the following:

- Our relationship has unfortunately been far from reciprocal. Starting August 1, 2025, we will impose a 30% tariff on EU products that enter the United States," the publication said.

The EU had hoped to reach a trade deal with the United States.
