Experts Forecast Weakening Of The Belarusian Ruble Against The Dollar

In Belarus, the average annual rate of the national currency to the dollar in 2025 will be about Br3.28, predict experts of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). Analysts explained what risks they see for the Belarusian ruble.

"Weakening of the Belarusian ruble in the second half of the year compared to current levels will be promoted by the deficit of foreign trade and the projected return of the Russian ruble to the dollar to the level above Br90 per dollar by the end of the year," experts predict.

The weakening of the Belarusian ruble against the Russian currency and the persistence of increased inflation in Russia will also remain pro-inflationary factors, analysts say.

In 2026 and 2027, the EDB predicts that the average annual dollar exchange rate in Belarus may reach Br3.69 and Br4.01, respectively.
