Musk's SpaceX To Invest $2 Billion In Chatbot Co-creator Company Grok

There are plans to integrate AI into Tesla Optimus robots in the future.

SpaceX Ilon Musk has agreed to invest $2 billion in his artificial intelligence company xAI.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal and Reuters.

The publications write that this investment is almost half of the recently raised capital for chatbot maker Grok (we're talking about a $5 billion investment round).

Reuters notes that the investment follows xAI's merger with x, and the combined company, valued at $113 billion.

It is also reported that Grok's chatbot currently provides support for Starlink and there are plans to integrate it into Tesla's Optimus robots in the future.

Despite recent controversy over Grok's responses, Musk has called it "the smartest AI in the world." Meanwhile, xAI continues to invest heavily in model training and infrastructure.
