Trump Made An "important Statement"

Kiev - lots of weapons, Moscow - 100 percent duties.

US President Donald Trump has made "an important statement" that he announced three days ago. The US president made it at a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

The US president reiterated that he is "very unhappy with Russia".

"I am very, very unhappy with Russia. If there is no ceasefire agreement within 50 days, I will impose very harsh duties - about 100 percent - against Russia and its partners," Trump said.

Trump also announced the delivery of 17 Patriot to Ukraine. In addition, the US president announced an agreement with NATO to supply weapons to Ukraine.

He emphasized that NATO Secretary General Rutte would later reveal the details of the agreement, which European leaders already know about.

"Trade is great for ending wars. Today we made a deal: we will send NATO state-of-the-art weapons and they will ship them to Ukraine. They, not American taxpayers, will pay for it. Military equipment worth billions of dollars will be quickly delivered to the battlefield. Including there will be 17 Patriot installations - they will start arriving today: a couple of countries will give Ukraine theirs and we will replace them with new ones," Trump said.

The US president also said he was disappointed with Putin.

"I'm disappointed in Putin. I thought about four times we had a deal, but instead we're still just talking about it. I talk to him, I hang up the phone, I think it was a great conversation, and then the missiles come flying at Kiev. And I say, "That's weird." Putin fooled Clinton, Bush, Biden, Obama, but won't fool me. Talk means nothing, we need to move to action. Once again: this war would never have started if I were president. Don't ask me questions about how far I'm willing to go if Putin continues to escalate," Trump said.

In addition, Trump said Russia's war against Ukraine must stop and called the NATO agreement "big."

"This is a very big deal, billions of dollars worth of military equipment will be purchased in the United States. It will be quickly distributed on the battlefield," the U.S. president said.

On July 13, Senator Lindsey Graham said that a "record flow of weapons" to Ukraine will begin in the coming days so that it can defend itself. He also announced additional sanctions against Russia and countries that buy Russian oil.
